Details of the Job/Internship
Areness is hiring a Legal Research Associate to join their office in New Delhi. The role involves undertaking extensive legal research, preparing detailed reports and summaries, analysing legal developments, and supporting legal teams with research-based inputs for case strategies and client matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research in a time-bound manner to support legal teams.
- Prepare compendiums as ready reference materials.
- Research across various fields such as insolvency, commercial disputes, banking disputes, IPR, capital markets, contracts, and labour laws.
- Assist in preparing research reports for publication.
- Assist in drafting notes for opinions and comments.
- Assist in preparing content for newsletters and articles.
- Manage a team of research interns.
Eligibility
- Strong legal research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Manupatra and SCC Online.
- Excellent drafting and report-writing abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing legal scenarios.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law (LLB or equivalent).
- Prior experience in legal research or consulting is an advantage.
- Experience as a Legal Researcher with a High Court or Supreme Court Judge is preferred.
