The organization works closely with the Government of India and various state governments to design actionable, nation-focused policy solutions.
Details of the Job/Internship
NFPRC is hiring a Consultant for its Criminal Law Project with 1–2 years of experience to join their office in Noida. This is a short-term, onsite consultancy position for a fixed term of 6–8 months.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research in criminal law, including statutes, case law, and procedural reforms.
- Support policy analysis by synthesizing legal developments and practical implementation outcomes.
- Conduct structured interviews with judicial officers, legal practitioners, and officials, and prepare summaries of these interactions.
- Contribute significantly to report writing, documentation, and referencing for the final policy report.
- Support policy analysis through the synthesis of implementation outcomes.
Eligibility
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of prior experience in legal research, with a preference for experience in criminal law.
- Strong interest in public policy and the interface between law and policy.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, structured policy briefs and research notes.
- Proven capacity to design and conduct professional interviews.
- Possession of an analytical mindset with high attention to detail
