Details of the Job/Internship

Black Augury is hiring a Legal Research Intern (AI Training & Compliance) to support its AI and product teams.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct structured legal research across domestic and international jurisdictions.
• Verify facts and interpretations from statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Simplify complex legal texts into AI-trainable summaries and annotations.
• Compare and analyse legal frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and product teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality, precision, and adherence to compliance standards.

Eligibility

• Pursuing or recently completed a law degree (LL.B., J.D., or equivalent).
• Strong research skills with experience using legal tools (LexisNexis, Westlaw, Eur-Lex, AustLII, etc.).
• Ability to interpret and simplify legal language.
• Interest in AI, LegalTech, and future of legal services.
• Knowledge of international legal systems (EU, US, UK, APAC) is a plus.
