Details of the Job/Internship
Meesho is hiring a Legal Senior Associate who will take ownership of providing advice, counsel, and support on legal issues related to a wide range of transactions. On a typical day, he will be involved in resolving legal queries and closely working with the business team on understanding constructs of legal transactions, drafting agreements or reviewing vendor templates and entering into negotiations to close the drafts.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalise various contracts for the business team.
- Negotiate with counterparty and close the agreement efficiently as per the business timelines.
- Modify existing contract templates and draft new ones to suit our growing business.
- Analyse and propose solutions to complex business problems in the e-commerce and tech space.
- Contribute to the legal function and assist with other relevant tasks and responsibilities.
Eligibility
- Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in law with 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Experience in an e-commerce/tech startup will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in commercial contract review.
- Experience with all law-related tasks and responsibilities.
- Proven skills in communicating effectively on legal matters and in creating perfect drafts
- Effective stakeholder management and coordination skills.
