Fractal is hiring a Legal Senior Manager to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s global IPR portfolio, including filing and prosecution of patents and trademarks.
• Oversee compliance with Data Privacy Laws, ensuring adherence to international regulations.
• Draft, implement, and update policies related to Data Privacy, Open-Source Software (OSS), and Web Scraping.
• Monitor and enforce company rights against global patent and trademark infringements.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents and contractual instruments to support business operations.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify and evaluate potential patentable innovations.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments for future ventures, especially around OSS, IP, and AI.
• Perform IP and OSS due diligence for investment and acquisition targets.
• Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and industry developments in IP, OSS, Data Privacy, and emerging tech.
• Prepare and present reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Guide and supervise interns and junior resources on day-to-day legal operations.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a reputed university (mandatory).
• Background in technology laws, intellectual property, open-source licensing, and contract compliance.
• Engineering degree or technical background required.
• Strong understanding of IPR, Data Privacy, OSS, and AI regulations.
• Excellent drafting, documentation, and policy formulation skills.
• Strong business acumen combined with a rigorous legal approach.
• Methodical, detail-oriented, and skilled at planning and execution.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks.
• Proactive, self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
