Details of the Job/Internship
McCormick & Company, Incorporated (NYSE: MKC) is hiring for the position of Legal Service Lead with 6+ years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, redline, and negotiate commercial, IP, and procurement contracts in alignment with company playbooks. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and update contract templates.
Legal Matter Intake & Company Secretarial Oversight:
- Supervise global legal intake and company secretarial functions, including query triage, priority setting, and regulatory compliance. Ensure timely updates of officer and director information.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the Legal Services team to ensure exceptional support and service. Conduct performance reviews, set development goals, and provide ongoing coaching and training.
Operational Excellence:
- Drive the centralization and standardization of legal support processes. Build team capabilities and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison with Legal and functional leaders to align on expectations, maintain service levels, and improve delivery outcomes.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Establish reporting mechanisms to track team performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
Eligibility
- Law degree with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in legal operations or similar roles.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, including procurement and IP law, contract drafting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage legal teams and interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with global contract management and legal operations tools (e.g., legal matter intake systems, CLM, IP docketing software).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with a collaborative mindset.
