Details of the Job/Internship
McCormick & Company is hiring for the position of Legal Service Specialist with experience of 1-3 years to join their Gurugram office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Legal Matter Intake: Single point of contact for receiving legal queries, including managing central inbox and triaging through adherence of allocation principles. This involves communicating with the business through appropriate channels to provide information, share knowledge, and keep colleagues informed of progress.
- Company Secretarial Governance: Supporting the Corporate Secretary function globally to deliver first class governance and Company Secretary support, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and that all board procedures and guidelines are followed.
- Company Secretarial support: Review new officer or director appointments ensuring all appointments are captured and updated in relevant systems.
- Conduit: Act as a link between the business unit and legal team to obtain additional information, chase up progress, send reminders across Legal Matter Intake and Company Secretarial.
- Storage: Responsible for storing queries and standard answers to common queries in a centralized database. Key function in updating, evolving and storing of playbooks.
- Metrics: Responsible for collecting data, analyzing data and building insightful reports with commentary on trends.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's and Law Degrees in related discipline with 1-3 years of expereince. Ability to provide consistent high levels of customer service;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal/influence skills and organizational ability.
- Ability to review, sense check inputs/data.
- Strong knowledge of applications such as excel, spreadsheets, SharePoint; Familiar with legal technology (e.g., legal matter intake, entity management, CLM, etc.).
