Details of the Job/Internship

Mastercard is hiring a Legal Services Specialist to join their office in Pune. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of contracts—from intake to execution—for a diverse range of transactions.
• Perform triage of incoming contract requests to ensure adherence to Mastercard’s policies and procedures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate standard agreements such as:
• Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Software License and Support Agreements
• Consulting and Professional Services Agreements
• Other commercial/vendor contracts common in financial and tech services
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure all contracts align with business needs and legal standards.
• Analyze contractual terms to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Deliver customer service that meets or exceeds GBSC standards for quality, response time, and service level objectives.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree
• Skills & Experience:
• Strong legal acumen and business judgment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficient in negotiating contract terms with internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently and recognizing when to escalate issues
• Service-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction
• Exposure to international legal systems (e.g., US, EMEA, APAC) is an advantage

Salary/Stipend
