Details of the Job/Internship

HCLTech is hiring for the position of Legal Specialist- Customer Contracts with 4-8 years of experience to join their office in Noida. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently review, draft, and negotiate IT contracts, including those with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and alliance partners worldwide.
• Handle a variety of agreements such as:
  • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
  • Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Reseller Agreements
  • Partner and Teaming Agreements
  • Rainmaker and other collaboration agreements
• Liaise with internal teams including procurement, business units, and delivery functions to facilitate contract closure.
• Collaborate closely with global legal team members to ensure alignment on legal strategy and risk management.
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing the volume and status of contracts reviewed and negotiated.
• Support legal operations through cadence reporting, management meetings, training sessions, and special legal projects as assigned by senior legal counsel.

Eligibility

• Strong experience in contract negotiation, especially within IT and outsourcing environments.
• Expertise in identifying and mitigating contractual, commercial, and operational risks.
• Ability to provide redlined inputs and risk analysis to ensure favorable and compliant contract outcomes.
• Proficient in managing contract life cycle, including legal support for ongoing obligations and dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including participation in multi-party negotiations.
• Ability to mentor junior legal professionals and support cross-functional legal collaboration.
• Experience working with external legal counsel as needed to resolve complex legal issues.
