Details of the Job/Internship
Collective Artists Network is hiring for the position of Legal Specialist with experience of 1-2 years to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Corporate Agreements including SSA, SHA, NDA, JV Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Equity Purchase Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Service Agreements, Supply Agreements, Employment Contracts, Vendor Agreements, Lease Agreements, and Partnership Agreements.
- Handling trademark registrations, renewals, and filings with relevant authorities.
- Assisting in trademark compliance and enforcement, including opposition and cancellation proceedings.
- Conducting IP due diligence and monitor potential trademark infringements.
- Supporting corporate secretarial work including compliance with statutory filings, board resolutions, and governance matters.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and corporate governance best practices.
- Assisting with filings and registrations with regulatory bodies (e.g., Registrar of Companies, Trademark Office).
- Conducting legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, providing clear advice to internal teams.
- Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating legal risks associated with business operations and contractual arrangements.
- Working closely with other departments to provide legal support and ensure the smooth execution of business transactions.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution. Enrollment with the Bar Council is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably within a law firm or an in-house legal department.
- Strong drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property law.
- Knowledge of trademark regulations and procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
- Exposure to M&A, private equity transactions, or cross-border corporate work.
- Prior experience in trademark registration and IP-related legal work.
