Details of the Job/Internship

IKEA is hiring a Legal Specialist with experience of minimum 15 years to join their office in Bangalore or Gurgaon.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate a broad spectrum of lease agreements for retail and office spaces.
• Support the Country Legal Manager in securing legal aspects of Ingka’s business operations.
• Proactively advise stakeholders on legal risk reduction and the optimization of business opportunities.
• Cooperate with Group Legal & Governance to ensure alignment with the global country agenda.
• Implement standard legal processes and provide education to stakeholders on laws and regulations.
• Stay updated on international and local legal developments, domestic laws, and case regulations.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders to secure sustainable solutions.

Eligibility

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in legal and governance specific to real estate.
• Deep expertise in leasing for retail and office spaces in Delhi NCR and Bangalore (Karnataka).
• Strong knowledge of Indian legal systems, including litigation procedures in relevant regions.
• Proven ability to handle unclear or unpredictable situations and negotiate acceptable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for expressing complex legal ideas.
