Details of the Job/Internship

IKEA is hiring a Legal Specialist with over 12 years of experience in legal and governance matters specific to real estate and leasing for retail and office spaces in Delhi NCR. The role involves supporting the Country Legal Manager and ensuring legal compliance across IKEA’s operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, supporting, and securing the legal aspects of IKEA’s business operations in India.
• Support the Country Legal Manager in managing legal and governance matters.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to secure sustainable solutions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate lease agreements and other legal documents related to real estate and leasing.
• Proactively support management to reduce legal risks and optimize business opportunities.
• Coordinate with Group Legal & Governance for alignment of country agenda.
• Contribute to the implementation of business plans and development projects.
• Implement standard legal processes and educate relevant stakeholders.
• Stay updated on international and local legal developments, including laws, regulations, and case law.

Eligibility

• University or master’s degree in law with strong academic achievements.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in a legal and governance environment focused on real estate and leasing.
• In-depth knowledge of legislation, legal systems, and government policies in business and commerce.
• Strong skills in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating real estate and leasing agreements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to process information, handle ambiguity, and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Salary/Stipend
