Details of the Job/Internship

Kapiva is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–5 years of experience to join their team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare and review commercial contracts such as NDAs, manufacturing agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements and other business documents.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing responses to legal notices, plaints and written statements, and support dispute resolution processes.
• Coordinate with external counsels on litigation matters, ensuring timely updates, follow-ups and maintenance of the litigation tracker.
• Support filing and management of trademarks, copyrights and patents to protect the company’s intellectual property.
• Provide legal support for new product launches, collaborations and campaigns in compliance with applicable laws including FSSAI, AYUSH, ASCI and Consumer Protection regulations.
• Maintain organized and updated records of executed contracts, legal opinions and other legal documentation.
• Assist in researching and reviewing new legal and regulatory developments to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with authorities for compliance queries, show-cause responses and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct periodic training sessions for internal teams on compliance and contractual awareness.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with 4–5 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Commitment to staying updated on evolving legal and regulatory landscapes.
• Ability to partner with business, marketing and operations teams to identify legal risks and provide practical solutions.
• Capability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
