Details of the Job/Internship

Kapiva is hiring a Legal Counsel with 4–5 years of experience to support their growing business operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and review commercial contracts including NDAs, manufacturing agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements and other business-related documents.
• Assist in preparing responses to legal notices, plaints and written statements, and support dispute resolution processes.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters, maintain the litigation tracker and ensure timely updates.
• Support filing and management of trademarks, copyrights and patents to protect the company’s IP.
• Provide legal guidance on new product launches, collaborations and campaigns while ensuring compliance with applicable laws (FSSAI, AYUSH, ASCI, Consumer Protection, etc.).
• Maintain updated records of executed contracts, legal opinions and other relevant documents.
• Conduct research on new legal and regulatory developments to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with authorities for compliance queries, show-cause responses and regulatory submissions.
• • Lead periodic compliance and contract-awareness training sessions for internal teams.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with 4–5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of evolving legal and regulatory landscapes.
• Ability to work with business, marketing and operations teams to identify risks and provide practical solutions.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary/Stipend
