Role and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the organization on all legal matters including but not limited to contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure legal compliance in all business operations.
- Develop and maintain standard legal documents, agreements, and policies to be used across the organization.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that affect the organization and ensure that the organization is compliant.
- Drafting and vetting of pleadings for various legal proceedings, drafting, and Issuance legal notices, and replying to legal notices on behalf of the organization.
- Preparation and filing of legal documents, maintaining case files, Repository for Legal Contracts/Agreements.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a broad range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, employment, Data Protection, regulatory, and compliance issues.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including but not limited to Master service agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor Agreements, NDA, MOU, LOI, Sale and Purchase Agreements, SAAS Agreements, Marketing Agreements, Lease Deeds etc.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial risks and provide legal opinions and recommendations to the organization.
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel on litigation matters as and when needed.
- Provide legal support and training to other departments within the organization.
Eligibility
- A law degree from an accredited and well reputed institution (preferably NLU’s) and an experience between 5 – 9 years in the legal domain preferably a mix of both Corporate as well as Law firm experience.
- Strong experience in dealing with Consumer Litigations and handling Commercial contracts.
- Ability to handle multiple legal matters simultaneously and provide strategic advice to the organization.
- Experience in Contract management and Litigation Management.
- In-depth knowledge of Data Protection law is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience responding to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and redlines/revisions.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results with cross-functional teams.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word.
