Details of the Job/Internship
Next Monk Capital is looking for a candidate for the position of Legal Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience to join them at their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, shareholder agreements, and equity-related documents.
- Advise on legal structure and compliance for subsidiaries and new ventures.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws related to investments, securities, and business operations.
- Oversee licensing, intellectual property, and regulatory filings.
- Assist in due diligence for investments and mergers & acquisitions.
- Draft and review term sheets, investor agreements, and financing documents.
- Handle disputes, litigation, and arbitration if necessary.
- Mitigate legal risks by providing sound advice and preemptive action.
- Manage trademarks, copyrights, and patents for the company’s products and brands.
- Provide legal advice on tax implications, employment law, and general operational matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and policies that may impact the business.
Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB or LLM).
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in corporate law, preferably with exposure to venture capital and technology-driven businesses.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, contracts, and intellectual property law.
- Familiarity with international business law is a plus.
