Details of the Job/Internship

Senvion India is hiring a Legal Specialist for its Mumbai office with 10 years of experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently oversee all aspects of project procurement and vendor contracts for the company.
• Manage contract administration in the power and infrastructure sectors, including procurement, project management, LC/BG processes, and risk assessment related to warranties and indemnities.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize various contractual agreements, including General Conditions of Contract (GCC), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), MoUs, Letters of Intent (LoIs), Letters of Award (LoAs), Lender Agreements, Bank/Financial Institution documents, and other commercial contracts.
• Handle pre-award and post-contract activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, risk assessments, claims management, and settlement processes.
• Address and respond to contractual disputes, claim notices, liquidated damages, termination clauses, change orders, and variations while ensuring timely contract closure.
• Conduct risk assessments by reviewing company policies, procedures, and reports to identify potential legal concerns.
• Develop and advise on pre-litigation and litigation strategies to mitigate risks and protect company interests.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for contract preparation, including subcontracting agreements, Joint Venture/Framework/Consortium Agreements.

Eligibility

• Law Degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
• Strong expertise in the Infrastructure and Renewable Energy sectors (preferred).
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex legal matters effectively.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Proven team management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor legal professionals.
