Details of the Job/Internship

Summit is hiring a Legal Associate with experience of 3–5 years to support the legal function in managing commercial contracts and compliance standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, drafting, and redlining client and vendor agreements under supervision, in line with internal templates and policies.
• Identify basic contractual risks and escalate complex issues to senior legal team members with preliminary analysis.
• Support compliance checks related to confidentiality, data protection, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather information required for contract reviews.
• Maintain contract trackers, repositories, renewal calendars, and obligation logs.
• Conduct initial legal research and assist with due diligence activities for vendors, partners, and clients.
• Participate in internal awareness sessions and support the preparation of legal training materials.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is mandatory.
• LLM or specialization in Corporate or Commercial Law is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or corporate legal team.
• Exposure to reviewing NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, or basic commercial contracts is preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of commercial law, contract lifecycle management, intellectual property, and confidentiality obligations.
• Strong attention to detail, drafting skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
