Emerge Legal is hiring for the position of Liaison Officer to join their office in Ludhiana.
Role and Responsibilities
- Team Management:Lead and manage the Licenses & Permits Team, ensuring efficient operations and timely delivery of tasks.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Regulatory Compliance:Stay updated on the latest statutory requirements, regulations, and guidelines related to S&E, Trade, CLRA, Drugs, Fire, and other relevant licenses and permits.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure timely renewal and submission of all required documents and applications.
- Liaison with Authorities:Represent the firm effectively before various government authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials to facilitate smooth communication and expedite processes.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals and clearances.
- Address queries and concerns raised by authorities in a timely and professional manner.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all licenses, permits, and regulatory documents.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on the status of license and permit applications and renewals.
- Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking and managing regulatory compliance.
- Risk Management:Identify potential risks associated with non-compliance and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Implement robust internal controls to minimize the risk of errors and omissions.
Eligibility
- Law degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in managing teams and handling regulatory compliance matters.
- Strong understanding of statutory laws, rules, and regulations, particularly related to S&E, Trade, CLRA, Drugs, Fire, and other relevant licenses and permits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
