Details of the Job/Internship
HSA Advocates is hiring legal professionals for its Regulatory Litigation practice team at two distinct seniority levels: 2–4 years PQE and 4–7 years PQE.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients before regulatory commissions (such as CERC/SERCs) and the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL).
- Manage end-to-end litigation strategy for regulatory disputes and sector-specific challenges.
- Draft complex petitions, appeals, rejoinders, and legal opinions.
- Conduct extensive research on administrative law, statutory interpretations, and regulatory precedents.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and technical consultants for data-driven legal arguments.
- Advise clients on compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks and policy changes.
- Assist senior partners in high-profile hearings and brief senior advocates when necessary.
Eligibility
- Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Level 1: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Level 2: 4–7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Prior experience in Regulatory Litigation or Dispute Resolution is highly preferred.
- Strong drafting skills and a keen interest in sector-specific laws (e.g., Energy, Infrastructure).
- Ability to analyze complex technical and financial data in a legal context.
- Excellent communication skills for representation before quasi-judicial bodies.
