Details of the Job/Internship
Pooja Bhatacharya is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Litigation and Contracts Associate to join her team.
- Education: Law Graduate
- Post Qualification Experience: 1-3 years of experience in litigation, police matters, consumer matters, dispute matters and contracting.
- Preference: Someone who knows Tamil (Language)
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent the company in court proceedings, hearings, and trials related to litigation matters, including civil and criminal cases.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to the company on a variety of legal matters, including police matters, consumer matters, and contracting.
- To provide legal support and advice on a wide range of issues to the business, such as advice on legal and compliance issues, on new or improved business models, legal notices or replying to notices and liaison with external advocates.
- Handling IPR high stake matters like defamation and critical consumer portfolio.
- Participate and support in litigation strategy for successful results in IPR and other high-stake litigation, conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Reviewing applications, pleadings, written statements to be filed in court for the pending IPR matters
- Coordination with external counsels and law firms for important Litigation matters and strategizing the next steps.
- Maintaining judgements and opinions with respect to B2C/B2B, e-commerce and intermediary positions applicable on us
- Ensuring timely filings of various pleadings, documents and managing data repository with Legal
- Maintaining MIS for being updated on as on date status of all the legal matters across organisation
- Drafting, vetting and negotiation of contracts across business units. You will highlight any issues which are likely to have revenue implications and exposure to legal, financial and statutory risks.
- To ensure that the contracts and other documents for business secure Company’s interests and are compliant with laws, regulations and internal policies
- To manage disputes regarding contract interpretation, conditions or compliance with legal requirements and will be involved in audit processes.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and legal team to ensure the best possible outcome for the company.
