Details of the Job/Internship

Prasanna Law Chambers is hiring a Litigation Associate (Criminal Litigation) with experience of 0–2 years to join their office in Noida. This is a full-time, on-site role involving extensive litigation work before courts in Delhi/NCR, including trial courts and the High Court. The role offers exposure to handling matters end-to-end with guidance from senior advocates.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle matters from initiation to conclusion, including preparation of briefs and lists of dates.
• Draft miscellaneous applications, bail applications, revision petitions, and pleadings in divorce and other matrimonial matters.
• Conduct detailed legal research, including case law research, preparation for criminal trials, and cross-examination.
• Represent clients before courts and advance arguments.
• Carry out filing, obtain vakalatnamas from jails, and perform other court-related miscellaneous work.
• Assist in research and preparation for arguments before the High Court.
• Undertake due diligence and related work for banks and other companies.

Eligibility

• Freshers eager to learn or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in courts of Delhi/NCR.
• Strong understanding of Indian law and the Indian legal system, with knowledge of CrPC/BNSS, IPC/BNS, and Evidence Act/BSA.
• Experience in drafting petitions and applications for Trial Courts and High Courts.
• Ability to conduct legal research and analyse complex legal issues.
• Good knowledge of trial court practice and procedure.
• Experience representing clients in courts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B).
• Valid licence to practise law in India.
• Prior experience in litigation.

Salary/Stipend
