The firm handles matters across Trial Courts and High Courts in Delhi/NCR.
Details of the Job/Internship
Prasanna Law Chambers (PLC) is hiring a Litigation Associate (Criminal Litigation) with 0–2 years of experience to join their office in Noida. The role involves handling day-to-day litigation work across courts in Delhi/NCR, including drafting, research, trial preparation, and court appearances.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle complete case management, including preparation of briefs, list of dates, and documentation.
- Draft miscellaneous applications, bail applications, revision petitions, divorce, and other matrimonial matters.
- Conduct detailed legal research, prepare criminal trial matters, identify case laws, and assist in cross-examination preparation.
- Represent clients in courts and assist with arguments, including matters before the High Court.
- File cases, obtain vakalatnamas from jails, and perform related court work.
- Undertake filing, research, and preparation for arguments in High Court matters.
- Conduct due diligence and related work for banks and other companies.
Eligibility
- Freshers eager to learn or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in courts of Delhi/NCR.
- Strong understanding of Indian law and the legal system, including CRPC/BNSS, IPC/BNS, and Evidence Act/BSA.
- Experience in drafting petitions and applications for Trial Courts and High Courts.
- Ability to conduct legal research and analyse complex legal issues.
- Good knowledge of trial court practice and procedure.
- Experience representing clients in courts.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) required.
- License to practice law in India.
- Prior experience in litigation.
