Details of the Job/Internship

AB Chambers is hiring a Litigation Associate with 5+ years of post-qualification experience to join its Bengaluru office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Independently manage day-to-day litigation matters across civil, commercial, criminal, family, and mining/regulatory disputes.
• Draft pleadings, written statements, appeals, affidavits, applications, legal opinions, and complex submissions.
• Appear and argue matters before District Courts, Sessions Courts, tribunals, and the Karnataka High Court.
• Manage client communication, including briefings, updates, meetings, and preparation of senior counsel.
• Conduct detailed legal research, statutory interpretation, and precedent analysis.
• Supervise and mentor junior advocates and review their drafting work.
• Manage filings, court processes, deadlines, and coordination with external counsel.
• Support arbitration, mediation, and other alternate dispute resolution processes where applicable.

Eligibility

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in active courtroom litigation.
• Candidates with 3+ years of experience may be considered for exceptionally strong profiles.
• Enrolment with a State Bar Council.
• Right to appear before the Karnataka High Court is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Kannada with strong drafting and legal research skills.
• Experience in criminal law, family disputes, and exposure to mining or regulatory matters.
• Ability to independently manage matters and mentor junior team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills, professional conduct, and high ethical standards.

Salary/Stipend
