Aumirah is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate legal issues related to litigation matters, including IP disputes, commercial contracts, and other legal matters.
- Review and assess pre-litigation matters, including demand letters, legal notices, and settlement agreements.
- Draft and prepare legal documents and pleadings, such as complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of litigation strategies, including case assessment, risk analysis, and settlement negotiations.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations, presenting arguments and evidence on their behalf.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and case preparation.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to prepare for depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files, including document management and electronic filing.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
- Stay informed of developments in case law, legislation, and legal trends relevant to assigned cases and practice areas.
Eligibility
1. A bachelor's degree in law (LLB) or an equivalent undergraduate degree in law from a recognized university or institution.
2. While not always mandatory, courses or training in specialized areas of litigation such as civil procedure, evidence, trial advocacy, and legal research and writing can be advantageous.
3. Proven working experience for 3 - 4 years.
