Chambers of Shaurya Sahay is a dynamic and growing chamber committed to meaningful legal practice. The chamber holds briefs in the Supreme Court, primarily as Standing Counsel for the State of Uttar Pradesh and as panel counsel for the State of Meghalaya, along with regular engagements on behalf of PSUs and private institutional clients. The team is young and small, handling heavy government litigation as well as a strong private client base across practice areas.
Details of the Job/Internship
Chambers of Shaurya Sahay is hiring a Litigation Associate with 0–2 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in Delhi. For freshers, prior litigation internship experience and a drafting sample are preferred. The role includes a mandatory three-month paid probation period. Remuneration is negotiable and as per industry standards.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft across a range of documents, primarily before the Supreme Court, arbitrations, and other forums.
- Prepare for court appearances and briefing senior advocates.
- Conduct legal research and assist in case strategy.
- Manage a heavy docket of cases, primarily before the Supreme Court.
- Liaise with government departments and clients, ensuring routine communication.
- Handle administrative duties related to accountability and transparency in case management.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree.
- 0–2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Prior litigation internship experience and a drafting sample preferred for freshers.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high volume of work under pressure.
- Professionalism, teamwork, punctuality, and attention to detail.
