Details of the Job/Internship
Fox Mandal & Associates is hiring a Litigation Associate for dispute resolution team to join them at their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting and vetting of legal documents, such as pleadings and briefs, as well as motions and memos, for clients.
- Participating in court hearings and court proceedings, as well as strategizing, preparing and attending trials, mediation and arbitration.
- Additionally, drafting of legal notices and default notices, as well as responding to legal notices.
- Demonstrating a working knowledge of CPC, Consumer Law, Arbitration & Conciliation Act, Contract Law, Limitation, Registration, etc.
- Demonstrating experience in the handling of multiple suits, such as suits for recovery, suits for declarations, suits for possession and injunction, and specific performance of contracts.
- Demonstrating proficiency in legal research.
- Contributing to the firm’s thought leadership through insightful content. Involvement in the firm's Values and Culture through participation in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Pro Bono and Social Activities.
Eligibility
- Qualification: LLB/LLM
- Post Qualification Experience: 2 to 4 Years, preferably in a law firm.
Skills:
- The candidate should have an understanding of applicable laws and their procedure.
- The candidate should be a Member of the state or local bar association.
- The candidate should have exceptional research skills and persuasive writing skills.
- The candidate should be able to analyse cases and predict outcomes when the legal scenario changes.
- The candidate should have a strategic approach to identifying and highlighting areas of risk and opportunity.
