Details of the Job/Internship
HCLTech is hiring a Litigation Associate with experience of 1 to 3 years to join their office in Chennai/Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assisting in managing regulatory and other compliances for Information Technology and outsourcing companies primarily internationally including for Europe, the Middle East etc.
- Handling all legal functions including but not limited to litigations, advisory, and consultancy across company work areas like labor/employment, services, vendor/ customer & general corporate.
- Handing customer disputes includes preparation of legal responses, and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting in the management of other compliances including tax, labor, health and Safety, environmental, legal recovery etc.
- Drafting responses to Statutory, customer, vendor and employee notices.
- Assisting the parent company in special projects outside outside the assigned GEO/country.
- Coordinating with internal and external legal counsels and other stakeholders for the matters.
- Assisting the team in invoice management and MIS updation.
- Must have an interest in legal research on various topics and advising the company on legislative changes.
Eligibility
- A college degree, in the field of law.
- 1-3 Years experience.
- Legal professional with prior working experience in contracts, disputes, advisory, general corporate, government and regulatory matters and matters relating to commercial compliance.
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to participate in group meetings. The candidate should be fluent in both English.
- Proficient in the use of computers, specifically MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and data management capabilities
- Ability to work individually and to follow up with internal stakeholders to ensure statutory and contractual compliance.
