Details of the Job/Internship
Malathi Associates is hiring a Litigation Associate with around 1 year of experience to join their office in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft court documents and legal pleadings.
- File cases and follow up on numbering of matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis.
- Manage depositions and assist in case preparation.
- Represent clients in court proceedings.
- Maintain detailed documentation and records of cases.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective legal representation.
- Provide strategic advice and legal solutions to clients.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.).
- License to practice law in India.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles and court procedures.
- Experience in drafting motions and conducting depositions.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of Tamil and 1 year of PQE preferred but not mandatory.
