Details of the Job/Internship
Metalegal Advocates is hiring a Litigation Associate – Tax, White Collar & IBC with experience of 4–5 years to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients before trial courts, NCLT, High Courts, and other tribunals.
- Draft, review, and finalise pleadings, petitions, applications, affidavits, and written submissions.
- Provide legal opinions on tax disputes, white-collar matters, and IBC proceedings.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior advocates.
- Coordinate with external counsels and law firms.
- Maintain client communication regarding case strategy and updates.
- Ensure compliance with procedural requirements and timelines.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed law school/university.
- 4–5 years of PQE in litigation.
- Experience in taxation disputes, white-collar crime, and IBC proceedings preferred.
- Ability to independently appear before courts and tribunals (NCLT, NCLAT, ITAT, etc.).
- Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English; Hindi/Marathi preferred.
- Strong client management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple matters and work under pressure.
