Details of the Job/Internship
Metalegal Advocates is hiring a Litigation Associate with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience to join its Mumbai office. The role involves independent handling of complex disputes, active courtroom exposure, strategic advisory work, and supervision of junior team members in a full-time, on-site capacity.
Role and Responsibilities
- Representing clients before trial courts, NCLT, High Courts, ITAT, and other tribunals and regulatory forums.
- Independently drafting and finalising pleadings, petitions, applications, affidavits, and written submissions.
- Advising clients on tax disputes, white-collar investigations and prosecutions, and IBC litigation strategy.
- Managing and mentoring junior advocates to ensure quality research, drafting, and matter preparation.
- Coordinating with external counsel and multi-forum litigation teams.
- Handling client communication, case updates, and hearing preparedness.
- Ensuring procedural compliance and adherence to litigation timelines.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised law school or university and enrolment with the Bar Council of India.
- 4–5 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, preferably in tax, white-collar, or IBC matters.
- Ability to independently appear before courts and tribunals.
