Details of the Job/Internship
Peritum Partners is hiring a Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of experience to join their office in Chennai. The role involves managing contentious civil and commercial disputes, intellectual property disputes, and alternate dispute resolution matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Appear before the Madras High Court, Commercial Court, City Civil Court, and Consumer Court.
- Draft pleadings including plaints, written statements, affidavits, applications, and petitions.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case notes, briefs, and client updates.
- Coordinate with clients, senior counsels, and internal teams for effective case management.
- Attend client meetings and assist in strategy formulation.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- 2–3 years of relevant litigation experience.
- Sound understanding of civil and commercial laws; original side practice preferred.
- Strong drafting, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
- Willingness to learn and appear regularly in court.
