Details of the Job/Internship

PLR Chambers is hiring a Litigation Associate with experience of 3 years to join their office in New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Engage with Government clients at the Central/State level for providing legal advice and summarizing legal positions.
• Interpret and advise on various laws, showcasing versatility beyond a single practice area.
• Draft provisions for legislations, conduct research, and prepare summary documents for tabling before Parliament.
• Research and draft policy documents and proposals.
• Draft and vet subordinate legislation.
• Conduct legal research for litigation matters, draft legal arguments, and participate in stakeholder consultations.
• Concisely explain and summarize laws, legal issues in Government meetings and stakeholder consultations.
• Coordinate with counsel representing the client in Courts, ensuring effective communication and adherence to instructions.
• Prepare case notes, presentations, opinions, and research notes for court cases.

Eligibility

• LLB/LLM degree from a recognized law school.
• At least three years of work experience in a law firm (any practice area) post LLB/LLM.
• Ability to work autonomously, guided by counsel/partner instructions.
• Post qualification experience 3 years.
