Details of the Job/Internship
NALSAR University of Law is hiring three Consultants (Litigation) with 2+ Years of full-time appellate criminal litigation experience for their The Square Circle Clinic, based in New Delhi. These are full-time, in-person roles focused on criminal appeals in death penalty cases, initially offered on a one-year contract, extendable annually.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist and brief senior advocates in Supreme Court, High Courts, and trial courts.
- Devise strategy and arguments for criminal appeals and strategic litigation.
- Conduct prison visits and interviews with death row prisoners and their families.
- Draft criminal appeals, writs, mercy petitions, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate with prison authorities and legal teams for case material.
- Participate in training workshops, conferences, and present Clinic's work.
- Contribute to research and legal education efforts of the Clinic.
Eligibility
- Graduate with an LLB degree and enrolled with any State Bar Council.
- Preference for candidates with 2+ years of full-time appellate criminal litigation experience.
- Strong interest in death penalty and criminal justice issues.
- Knowledge of Indian languages is a plus.

Rs.65,000/-
