Details of the Job/Internship
AIS Technolabs Pvt Ltd is hiring a Litigation Counsel for a Listed Company based in Mumbai, India. Candidates must have 10 years of experience.
Areas of Expertise:
- National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT)
- National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT)
- Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
- Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT)
- Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT)
- General Civil and Commercial Litigation
Role and Responsibilities
Litigation Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement litigation strategies aligned with the objectives of the Group.
- Proactively manage legal risks and assess potential litigation outcomes.
Counsel & Representation Management:
- Identify and engage appropriate senior counsels and legal experts for ongoing litigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external legal teams and advisors.
Court Appearances & Advocacy:
- Represent the Group in legal proceedings before NCLT, NCLAT, DRT,
- DRAT, and other judicial forums, as needed.
- Draft and review pleadings, petitions, and other legal submissions.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:
- Work closely with internal business teams to provide litigation updates and strategic advice.
- Report directly to the Group General Counsel, Mumbai, ensuring alignment with the organization’s legal and business priorities.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed law school.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in litigation, particularly in corporate, insolvency, and financial disputes.
- Strong understanding of IBC, debt recovery laws, and commercial litigation.
- Experience in coordinating with senior counsels and managing high-stakes litigation.
- Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle complex litigation matters independently.
