Details of the Job/Internship

Legodesk is hiring for the position of Litigation Legal Assistant to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft written statements, miscellaneous applications, replies, and police complaints.
• Review, draft, and vet contracts and agreements for clients.
• Draft replies to notices received from advocates, law enforcement agencies, statutory/regulatory bodies, etc.
• Retrieve the required details and data for drafting written statements, miscellaneous applications, notices, notice replies, and police complaints.
• Maintain MIS (Management Information System) of all litigation against the company, senior management, and officers.
• Follow up on a case-to-case basis with advocates/legal officers.
• Ensure the timely processing of advocate/vendor bills.
• Maintain contingent liability data.
• Maintain records for compliance and audit.
• Handle IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) related matters, including filing applications for opposition, registration of trademarks, copyright applications as per business requirements, and filing police complaints against infringement of registered trademarks.

Eligibility

• Possession of an integrated LLB/LLM degree, either a 3-year or 5-year program.
• Must hold a valid Bar Council ID.
• Demonstrated experience or internships with a focus on criminal law cases.
• Must own a laptop and have access to personal transportation.
• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities.
• Fluency in any one regional language except English & Hindi, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi
• Competency in Microsoft Office suite.

Salary/Stipend
