Kotak Life Insurance is hiring a Litigation Manager with experience of 4+ years to join their office in Goregaon (East), Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for fact-finding of cases by collating facts and documents from different departments of the company.
- Fact-finding and drafting replies to legal notices.
- Drafting replies and written statements in response to cases received against the company.
- Sound knowledge of handling criminal cases and liaison with police personnel and authorities.
- Coordination and follow-up with advocates for effective representation on behalf of the company and updating the next date of hearing of all cases.
- Undertaking legal research on relevant topics.
- Preparation of Legal MIS as a control mechanism for monitoring legal cases.
- Travel for attending court cases, FIRs, and police complaints, as required.
- Handling legal queries received from other departments of the organisation.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM.
- 4+ years of experience (preferably from the insurance sector, corporate, litigation, or a law firm).
- Sound legal understanding.
- Good analytical ability.
- Good drafting and communication skills.
