Details of the Job/Internship
Bush & Bush Law Group is hiring a Litigation Medical Assistant to support the remote legal team. The role involves managing medical records, tracking client treatments, and assisting case managers in ensuring clients receive appropriate care.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and track client medical treatments throughout each phase of care.
- Request, obtain, and manage medical and billing records along with necessary affidavits.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of medical and billing records.
- Communicate proactively with medical providers and records departments to obtain updates, primarily via phone.
- Provide weekly status updates on records and affidavits in the firm’s system.
- Research and manage subrogation liens, including Medicaid/Medicare and hospital liens.
- Efficiently manage a caseload of 30–40 active cases, with potential for growth.
- Assist case managers in confirming that clients have received required medical treatment.
Eligibility
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in medical assistant, medical office, or healthcare-related role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes, and medical records management preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
