For over 30 years, the firm has investigated, litigated, and settled numerous mesothelioma and asbestos lung cancer cases, advocating for victims’ rights under the leadership of David Halpern.
Details of the Job/Internship
The Halpern Law Firm, LLC is hiring a Litigation Paralegal with experience of 2+ years for a remote role. The position involves managing client cases, preparing and filing court documents, scheduling meetings and depositions, and assisting attorneys in day-to-day litigation activities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and serve documents with federal courts electronically.
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars and track case status.
- Request client records in a timely manner.
- Send correspondence to clients, defense counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Follow up with staff and attorneys regarding case progress.
- Maintain organisation of multiple ongoing cases.
Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable interacting with diverse clients and staff at all levels.
- Experience in a law firm preferred.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of asbestos litigation and paralegal certification or degree is a plus.
