Details of the Job/Internship
S. Majumdar & Co. is hiring a Litigation Specialist with 3–4 years of PQE to join their Intellectual Property Litigation team at the New Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Advising on various IP disputes including preliminary case evaluation and long-term litigation strategy.
- Managing court proceedings and appearances, including matters before the IPO.
- Drafting pleadings, applications, plaints, written statements, and replies.
- Briefing Senior Advocates for urgent reliefs.
- Conducting legal research and developing case arguments.
- Participating in IP enforcement actions.
- Analyzing case law for opinion writing and litigation direction.
- Collaborating with the firm’s team of IP professionals.
- Developing IP protection strategies for clients.
- Contributing to the firm’s blog and other knowledge initiatives.
- Reporting key developments to senior management.
Eligibility
- Law degree with admission to the Bar Council (Enrolment ID and AIBE status required in cover letter).
- 3–4 years of litigation experience in IP matters preferred.
- Familiarity with the Commercial Courts Act and Civil Procedure is essential.
- Patent Agent qualification preferred.
- Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
- Strong legal drafting and computer skills.
- Willingness to relocate and work full-time from New Delhi office.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
