Details of the Job/Internship
HCLTech is hiring a Legal & Compliance Manager with 7–10 years of experience to support regulatory, legal, and compliance functions across the EMEA region from its Noida, Chennai, or Bangalore offices.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing regulatory and other compliances for the EMEA region.
- Coordinate with regulators and government bodies in EMEA for investment and government grant agreements.
- Ensure eligibility for and availing of incentives and concessions under government schemes.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory forms and returns.
- Prevent administrative penalties or levies arising from non-compliance.
- Draft letters, submissions, and responses to regulators and government authorities.
- Ensure internal compliance controls for applicable EU Directives.
- Handle legal functions across EMEA including contracts, litigation, advisory, labour and employment, vendor and customer matters, and general corporate work.
- Assist in commercial and logistical compliance for import of equipment into EMEA and export of services from EMEA.
- Support compliances relating to tax, labour, health and safety, and environmental laws.
- Assist the parent company on special projects outside EMEA as required.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external legal counsels, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognised college or university.
- Seven to ten years of experience in legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Prior experience in contracts, disputes, advisory, general corporate, and government or regulatory matters.
- Exposure to EMEA and APAC regions preferred.
- Fluency in English and EMEA languages.
- Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and ensure statutory and contractual compliance.
