Details of the Job/Internship
upGrad is hiring a Manager - Legal Contracts - Group Functions with experience in managing vendor and client contracts to join their office in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and review contracts with vendors and clients, particularly marketing, technology, and IP agreements.
- Independently manage end-to-end contract processes.
- Ensure proper contract closure procedures as per internal guidelines.
- Interpret contracts and advise business teams on contractual responsibilities.
- Prepare and maintain legal templates for standard agreements.
- Monitor legal changes and assess applicability across business areas.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, and consultants, ensuring timely responses and updates.
- Promote legal automation and conduct training to reduce dependency on the legal team for daily operations.
- Work under pressure and ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements.
- Be a collaborative team player open to learning and adapting.
- Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism.
- Possess strong business acumen and negotiation capabilities.
- Communicate effectively with excellent articulation skills.
