Details of the Job/Internship

Alembic is seeking a seasoned legal professional with 8–10 years of experience specifically within the pharmaceutical industry. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Contractual Oversight: Draft, review, and negotiate high-value domestic and cross-border agreements, including technology transfers, supply chain contracts, and IPR licensing.
• Litigation Management: Lead the handling of civil, criminal, and commercial litigation, as well as arbitration proceedings, from initial filing to final resolution.
• Regulatory Compliance: Act as a subject matter expert on pharmaceutical frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to the DPCO, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and UCPMP.
• IP Portfolio Management: Oversee the company’s extensive trademark portfolio and provide vital support for patent-related filings and enforcement.
• Advisory & Risk: Provide actionable legal counsel to internal business units regarding dispute resolution and potential legal exposures.
• Compliance Training: Develop and deliver training programs to drive compliance awareness and ethical standards across the organization.
• Documentation: Standardize legal templates and manage the drafting of formal legal notices and replies.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
• Experience: 8–10 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) exclusively in Legal & Compliance within the Pharma sector (this industry experience is mandatory).
• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of drug pricing (DPCO) and pharmaceutical marketing codes (UCPMP).
