Details of the Job/Internship

Rupeek is looking for a candidate with 5 years of experience for the position of Manager - Legal.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Management

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for critical business lines like Business Correspondent, Co-Lending Partnerships for secured & unsecured loans, Escrow Account openings, PA/PG integrations, Co-Branded card partnerships, Insurance marketing/corporate agencies.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements for vendors like technology service providers/software license owners, lead referrals agencies, marketing agencies, vault service providers, HR consultants/service providers/staffing solution providers, celebrity management companies, etc.
Drafting customer-facing agreements for various secured and unsecured products including loan Tncs, sanction letters, application forms, pledge cards, etc.

Compliance & Legal Advisory

Products & processes advisory in compliance with RBI Guidelines including advice on new as well as product/process changes in view of RBI Regulations.
General corporate legal advisory for various functions of the organization on matters such as HR issues, brand marketing, IPR management, fidelity, and security issues while handling gold/company assets.

Regulatory Liasoning

Analyzing audit observations by the Department of Supervision (RBI) preparing/finalizing the Company’s responses and working with the regulator in clarifying the Company’s position on various observations. Responding to RBI/MeITy on ad-hoc queries on the Company’s business model and operations.
Drafting and following up applications for licenses, seeking clarification on certain subjects, and proactively engaging with RBI through industry bodies like the Fintech Convergence Council.

Fund Raise

Connecting with potential and existing investors for legal queries in equity transactions.
Leading legal due diligence and supporting closure of transaction documents (SHA/SSA).
Supporting debt raise/venture debt transactions in reviewing term sheets, credit facility agreements, deed of hypothecation etc.

Eligibility

Persona

LLB from a reputed Law College.
Minimum 5 years in-house legal experience in the corporate function of a reputed company preferably experience in Banks/NBFCs or FinTech industry.

Skills

Demonstrated (hands-on experience) subject matter knowledge in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial contracts.
Strong Knowledge of regulatory Framework for NBFCs and Banks.
Experienced in negotiating contracts including with international counterparties.
Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Enable business without compromising on the process.
Prioritize and manage business stakeholders and workload effectively, with quick turn-around requirements.
Strong communication skills and excellent command of English (both oral and written) with the ability to interface with people across all levels of the organization.
