Details of the Job/Internship
Tata Play Ltd. is hiring a Manager – Regulatory Affairs with over 6 years of experience to join their Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise in the media and entertainment industry, preferably in the broadcasting sector or through law firm experience handling broadcasting issues.
- Act as a liaison between Tata Play and regulatory authorities, including TRAI, MIB, DoT, WPC, NOCC, and industry bodies.
- Respond to queries and correspondences from regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely and compliant responses to customer complaints from MIB/TRAI, and monitor the performance of LPOs handling these cases.
- Research and draft inputs on consultation papers issued by TRAI, collaborating with internal teams for responses.
- Manage workflows for consumer grievances and ensure prompt resolution.
- Analyze regulatory data and maintain statutory timelines.
- Identify process inefficiencies and coordinate with teams for improvements.
- Explore outsourcing opportunities and operationalize them with relevant teams.
Eligibility
- B.A. LL.B. degree.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in media, entertainment, or broadcasting.
- Strong understanding of media, entertainment, and IT laws.
- Experience in government and external liaison.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to handle heavy workloads independently and meet strict deadlines.
