Details of the Job/Internship
Sun Pharma is hiring an IP Litigation Manager with 10–12 years of experience to lead API-related Intellectual Property initiatives at their Vadodara facility.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed Freedom to Operate (FTO) evaluations for APIs, interacting with FRD, PMO, and Portfolio teams.
- Perform patent and literature searches using specialized tools like SciFinder for processes, intermediates, polymorphs, and impurities.
- Identify and review key third-party patents and provide early-stage evaluation of risks and mitigation strategies.
- Support IP litigation efforts by preparing and reviewing documents, managing discovery, and monitoring case progress.
- Interact with external IP attorneys and global stakeholders to manage legal deliverables.
- Identify new product opportunities for global markets based on evolving IP landscapes.
- Provide timely IP support to Portfolio, Business Development, R&D, and Commercial teams.
Eligibility
- Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm), M.S., or M. Tech (Pharmaceutics or Chemistry preferred).
- Preferred: P.G. Diploma in Patents Law.
- 10–12 years of relevant experience specifically in the API-IP domain.
- Sound understanding of IP dynamics and strong technical skills in pharmaceutical chemistry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for business and legal requirements.
