Details of the Job/Internship
Meesho is hiring a Manager - Legal with experience of 5–7 years of PQE to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of diverse commercial agreements, including vendor, distribution, licensing, and SaaS/tech contracts.
- Advise leadership on corporate governance and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, and SEBI regulations.
- Support and execute corporate transactions such as M&A, joint ventures, investments, and restructurings.
- Partner with business teams to anticipate legal risks and develop pragmatic, risk-mitigated solutions for new initiatives.
- Engage and manage external counsel for specialist mandates and comprehensive due diligence.
- Monitor regulatory developments and proactively recommend internal policy or process improvements.
Eligibility
- Qualified LLB from a recognized and reputed institution.
- 5–7 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Prior experience in a reputed law firm and/or a high-growth in-house legal role.
- Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law with exposure to high-value transactions.
- Proven experience in handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business opportunity while operating under tight deadlines.
