upGrad is hiring a Manager/Assistant Manager – Legal with expertise in contract management and regulatory compliance to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage contracts end-to-end with vendors and clients.
- Interpret contracts and advise business teams on obligations.
- Prepare standard agreement templates.
- Track legal updates and ensure business compliance.
- Mentor junior legal team members.
- Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and clients for timely communication.
- Drive automation and legal training to empower business teams.
- Ensure work is completed within set deadlines and service levels.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and professionalism.
Eligibility
- Ability to draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including marketing, technology, and IP agreements.
- Understanding of applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Strong ethical standards and business acumen.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience in mentoring and working under service-level timelines.
- Team-oriented with adaptability to learning and unlearning.
