Details of the Job/Internship

Zepto is hiring a Manager – Labour Compliance & Payroll Operations with 6–8 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Ensure payroll processing complies with all applicable labour laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labour and tax laws.
• Manage and update payroll records, conduct periodic audits, and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle payroll tax compliance, including withholdings, filings, and reporting.
• Process employee changes such as hires, terminations, and promotions in payroll systems.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to authorities and provide analytical reports to management.
• Develop and refine payroll policies, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to align payroll and employee data.
• Address employee payroll-related queries and provide guidance on payroll matters.
• Handle grievance management and ensure effective issue resolution.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree with specialization in Human Resources, Law or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in HR, preferably in bulk payroll operations.
• Experience managing blue-collar workforce compliance.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, wage and hour regulations, and tax compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Curious, self-driven, and customer-experience focused.

Salary/Stipend
