Details of the Job/Internship
Elevate is hiring a Manager for its Contracts – Managed Services Team with over 5 years of post-qualification experience to work on complex global client engagements, including review and redlining of commercial contracts, playbook development, template rationalization, and CLM technology deployments. The role requires expertise in commercial contracting, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead and mentor legal professionals while ensuring operational excellence across engagements.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently review, redline, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts in line with client playbooks and business objectives.
- Draft and refine complex legal clauses and commercial terms.
- Lead negotiations with counterparties, including multi-party discussions.
- Develop and update client-specific playbooks and templates.
- Lead template rationalization and harmonization across contract types.
- Support CLM technology deployments by aligning contract structures with platform capabilities.
- Ensure all deliverables meet client quality standards and compliance requirements.
- Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks proactively.
- Drive consistency and best practices across engagements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
- Understand client priorities and tailor contracting strategies accordingly.
- Prepare and present engagement reports, including progress and risk summaries.
- Manage staffing and team utilization for efficient delivery.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on drafting and client communication.
- Lead onboarding and training for new team members.
- Conduct quality reviews and provide feedback.
- Improve internal processes, templates, and workflows.
- Contribute to internal knowledge repositories and playbooks.
- Champion the adoption and effective use of CLM and workflow tools.
Eligibility
- LLB/LLM.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial contracting, preferably in a professional services or legal support environment.
- Proven experience in customer-facing contract review and negotiation roles.
- Excellent drafting, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Familiarity with document management and CLM tools.
Salary/Stipend
